I'm slow cooking at roast at 225 degrees F in dutch oven in the oven how long should I cook it for?

    No way to be more specific without knowing how big the roast is and when you want it done.

    To me, cooking it at 225° F sounds too low. It will take a really long time to cook. I've cooked chuck roasts at 325° F for around 3 hours and they came out really tender. If not slow cooked the chuck roast is a really tough cut of meat. But to answer your question, I'll take a guess and say at 225° F it's going to take at least 4 hours, maybe more.

    A boston butt would be until the internal temperature reaches about 195F

    What type of roast and what is the weight? Both pieces of info are important.

    I'm assuming you are doing it "low and slow" because of the cut. Try 3 to 4 hours.
