Does Liver disease occur because of high levels of alcohol consumption? Or are there other things that can cause Liver disease?

Hepatitis B and C viruses may cause chronic hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer). Hepatitis B infection can be prevented by vaccination. Hepatitis C infection can be cured within 12 weeks by antiviral medications. Chronic hepatitis infection may cause portal hypertension, esophageal varices, ascites, cirrhosis, hepatic gastropathy and hepatic encephalopathy.

Fatty liver disease is also caused by consuming sugars and processed foods. Consuming healthy fats does not cause it. Never has.
And there is also hepatitis which is a liver disease. You can learn more if you google it.

There are many causes of liver disease. Alcohol abuse is a common one, but obesity, drug use, hepatitis, and other causes also happen.

It's called fatty liver disease. Or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Go to youtube and search for Dr Berg "The real cause of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease". There are things you can do to correct it before it's too far gone.

Oh, quite a few things: too much acetominophen (Tylenol/Paracetemol) and genetic predisposition are just two more things.
