To Police around the United States, what percentage of high speed car chases do the police actually stop the car and catch the criminal?

The majority of chases result in the suspect crashing after a very short time and being taken into custody. Of course, that isn't as interesting as a long chase, so that is usually what makes the news.

As far as actual statistics, I've not seen them tracked.

That is a statistic that is not tracked.

I’m sure you could find statistics online.

The whole point of high speed car chases is to make the felon crash into a bridge support and remove himself from the gene pool.
