If I touch candle wax that is cold not hot or ever lit, will the residue be on my hands?

Not enough to worry about after all same sandwiches are wrapped in wax paper or cakes are cooked in wax paper lined cake pans...so you eat it. Bees wax is in honey and you never noticed. In and out down the toilet.

Yes, but not much. How much depends on how firmly you handle the wax.

Yes, small residual amounts will be on your skin, especially if it's scented, you will have residual oils from the candle on your skin.

You even get residual metals from coins when you handle them, even handled a copper penny and then smelt your hands, Your going to get tiny amounts of most things you handle or touch on your skin.
