What would it take for America to enter into another revolution?

Purely hypothetical, I'm curious as to everyone s opinions. What do you guys think would be appropriate and a breeding ground for another revolution to spark off? Would it be civil right violations? The banning of firearms? Implementations of martial law? Share your opinions!

The last American Revolution was to break free of what was perceived to be a foreign entity, so one wonders what entity we'd be fighting against in this new war you seek.

The question is what type of revolution. I don't see one of internal war with guns. It is 100% clear to anyone who understands macroeconomics and the financial history that the system is far too capitalist and puts the power in the wealthy and large corporations controlled by the wealthy. They have stolen government control and we no longer live in a government of the People. The outlook is either evolution where changes occur in pieces to redivide some of the wealth, or a revolution of power change that overturns the entire current political environment.

Bernie Sanders combined with a power shift in the Senate could be that revolt. A Trump reelection of four more years of cheating the working class would just delay a revolution. Biden, Warren, Buttigieg, Steyer are four candidates who I believe can shift the system as an evolution to prevent a revolution.

Violence and divisiveness is stoked by the President we have and THAT is what he does best and it is a downfall of the country and just a matter of time.

In studying leading Presidential candidates they need three key characteristics.

    1) They are truly kind and pleasant people. Our President should not be nasty. The President needs to be seen as a leader to everyone and not a partisan dictator nor sector revolutionist.

    2) They should truly want what the 80% of the country that has been cheated wants fixed. They must see the Office of the Presidency as one of public service.

    3) They should see the middle class as the nation's strength.

Trump is spinning the nation into internal war.

Sanders and Yang would only change the direction of war.

    Williamson is not grounded enough.

Harris, Booker, Castro seem too self-serving and not sharp enough to run on their own merits and policy statements.

  • As well-armed as the military is right now, the only kind of revolution in this country that could succeed would be a coup by the military. But nobody stays powerful forever. There will come a time, maybe in a few hundred years, when the arms gap and information gap between the government and the governed is back to the point it was at during the Revolution, a new revolution by the citizenry may be possible, but an external invasion (or multiple external invasions) at that point would be more likely.

So what would it take? Beats me. Any kind of group would have a hell of a time forming any kind of conspiracy without the US government taking notice. The more people involved, the harder it is to maintain a secret, the easier it is for spies to infiltrate the organization, the less likely any revolution will be initiated.

Starvation would most likely work. Famines, rampant unemployment, and destitution strengthen the resolves of many. When the majority of the people are hungry and miserable, it'd be easier to rally them together for Revolution. We live in a country where 2/3 of the population are obese, so I don't think we're close to that point, yet.

I would hope the South, many Great Lakes States and and The Mountain Mid-West + Alaska would secede if a Socialist wins in 2020 in order to prevent our states from turning into Venezuela with no jobs, no food, and no medical supplies

It may surprise you but the regions you mention live on Federal Government assistance. They are takers rather than givers into the Fed. Also, you have been fed a lot of scare and rhetoric that plain isn't true.

Just as likely to be a revolt against a Republican executive.

An economic event such as the US dollar becoming worthless .... that's highly unlikely because the dollar is the currency in demand around the globe. When the dollar has no value then the federal government can no longer sustain or justify its existence. Time to reorganize.
