You did not mention if you encounter any problem resetting your computer. I guess you find it difficult so my suggestion is that remove the battery if you can if it is a PC you can clear your CMOS to reset thet bios setting. it might prevent it from booting for some reasons. So Clear yuor CMOS then restart your Computer.

For windows 10
Option 1: Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. Under Reset this PC, select Get started. Open Recovery settings.
Option 2: Restart your PC to get to the sign-in screen, then press and hold down the Shift key while you select the Power icon > Restart in the lower-right corner of the screen. After your computer restarts, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
Option 3: Select Start , then press and hold down the Shift key while you select the Power icon > Restart to restart your computer into Recovery Mode. After your computer restarts, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
If you don't have Win10, then ask q again with the identity of the OS.

You can get help in this forum but you will need to provide make, model and operating system for anyone to give sensible advice. Without that vague questions will only get vague answers.

With no clue what "reseting" means to you, why you wish to do it, what operating system, what "computer" make, model number, where in the world you are, no guessing.

Reset usually means just turning it off and then turning it on again.
Do you mean you want to return to factory defaults?
Most computers these days have a 'RESTORE' drive you can access and restore the computer to factory defaults. You can look this up by Brand name and model on Google. Note: Be sure you have backed up all your files onto removable media before you attempt. You WILL lose everything.
