Does anyone realize poverty statistics are getting worse?
120 million people in USA receive some type
of welfare. 40 million citizens in poverty. 1 in

The last US census said almost half of the US population was living at or below poverty level. I think the 1% has won their war on the working class. They even have most of us convinced that we are NOT poor, or living in poverty. Religion and the media took care of that. We have a shiny car, a hand held device, a flat screen TV, and the media says we are a rich nation. We can't afford to eat healthy meals. We can't afford health care. We can't pay to educate our kids. Almost half of us live in substandard housing. We will never be able to retire. Most emerging nations have better education and health care. We are only a short step from becoming a feudal society or an oligarchy. Bernie and AOC are NOT crazy!!!

Sounds like the billions of dollars we are putting into social programs through tax dollars are not working.

think about those numbers you just gave...
40 million in poverty....but 120 million receiving welfare....that's one third of the U.S. population....
so only 1/3 of public assistance goes to those living poverty...those most in need are getting about 30 cents of every dollar supposed to be helping them...
so does that mean we have a system that addresses poverty....or sustains and supports it?

IF TRUE THAT IS SO SAD......

No one should be on welfare. Socialism is not a role of the federal government. "Poverty" is a relative term. People below the line in the US are better off than 90+% of the rest of the world. Four in five kids are obese and they should be eating less. Your stats amount to fear mongering.

Don't have kids unless you can afford them.
