How often should artists drop an album?
If someone dropped annually and dropped two projects on year would that be too much

It really comes down to business even if you are a true, old school "found at a terrible club" artist. The money comes from touring. Of album sales you get a few cents. 0.05x100 million is $5 million. That sounds nice but that's one album and a half decent house in a half decent area is $1 million. The head of accounting of your tiny vegan iced cream company has a million dollar house.
The time to tour, create, push the papers, and have a life is all up to you and everyone else involved. All under the pressure of marketability fading.

as fast as they can put out something quality, if theyre on a roll and inspired to produce 5 'good' albums in a year thats fine .. but if its just thrown together garbage theyre going to be hurting themselves ...
