Why do you ejaculate more sperm when the orgasm is better?

Semen mainly comes from the prostrate gland. That's a gland right behind your testicles and ahead of your anus. When you orgasm, you start squeezing your Kegel muscles which are the muscles in that region used to to squeeze urine and feces out through their respective openings. It's also used in driving forward your semen. An orgasm is just you squeezing those muscles violently. The bigger the orgasm, the more it squeezes the prostrate glands out.

The amount of semen produced is mostly genetic. Just like with women, some men have bigger and better orgasms than others. As to why, for men the orgasm lasts as long as it needs to in order to release all of the semen. If the guy produces more semen then the orgasm is probably going to last longer for a full release, and that's probably going to feel more satisfying.

Cumshots that travel over two feet feel the best! Also... a good seven spurt cumshot is something most completely turned on adult males can experience. A seven spurt cumshot is pretty satisfying...to say the least!

You ejaculate more semen and not sperm. Sperm are the cells that swim in the semen.

Probably because more foreplay is involved.

Don't confuse sperm with semen. Sperm come from the testes and only make up about 1% of the semen that you ejeculate. Most of the semen comes from the prostate which can be more stimulated the more excited you are.

You would ejaculate more SEMEN because it is made
on demand by your prostate and the stimulation is
better if the orgasm is good.

Probably because the amount of foreplay and arousal that led up to that great orgasm stimulated the prostate and other related parts to generate and collect more semen for the eventual ejaculation. If that sexual activity includes edging, ie. getting right to the edge of orgasm and backing off, and doing that several times before a full orgasm is allowed to happen, that can cause more semen to build up for ejaculation than just a one-shot orgasm would.

You're putting heart and soul into it, rather than JO by rote/habit.
