28 million Texans think so. Go there and see how it is. Every state has good points and not so good points.

Summer in Texas is hot but so is summer in florida. Winter in the midwest is very cold. Public service jobs ;hospitals, reception, stores, are probably going to require fluency in Spanish. But there is a big need for interpreters.

The standard of living in Texas is cheaper compared to living somewhere like New York or California.

It has problems. It gets too hot, it floods,

It has drug trafficking and too many illegals

Crossing it and too many billy bobs quick

To get into fights or prove they are men.

That is stupidity in behavior or weak parenting.

There are good areas and some good people

As well but it's a mix of good and bad like

    Most places.

Texas is big and varies quite a bit from one city to the next. I couldn't wait to get the hell away from Texas, but some people do actually like it there.

Depends on what kind of lifestyle you want to live. I don't know what you have in mind, but anywhere in it certainly can't be the worse. Maybe Austin would be the best place as an unbias default.
