Can I purchase cigars if I'm 17 for my mom in a store?

She told me if I dont get it she going to slap me

    In the US federally you must be 18 to purchase tobacco. 18 states and some towns in the other 32 have raised the purchase age to 21.

    When we were children (7-9 years old), my mother would send my little brother & I to the store by ourselves to get her cigarettes. But that was after she showed us to the manager and had it okayed by the owner.

    I don't know if that would work these days or not.
