Maybe you should stop eating fast food? You wouldn’t weigh 200lbs+ if you started eating healthier.

Remember that someone, usually paid at minimum wage ( not trying to be a jerk, just telling it like it is), is preparing that food for you. You could always do what I do. Find the recipes online and make it yourself at home. Just google something like: McDonalds Big Mac Copy Cat Recipe. Problem solved. If enough people do this, believe me, the Fast Food Restaurants will act in kind and drastically lower their prices. Either that or they will go out of business. Luckily for them most people wont take the above mentioned advice and are too lazy and would rather just go to the Fast Food Restaurant and get the food quickly..... thus the term FAST FOOD> LOL Have a blessed day!!!!

Paying the help $15/hour. We consumers are paying their salary increases, not their employers.

Because Americans are willing to pay high prices for it, just like iPhones are overpriced but people keep buying them .

In the US? The living wage push. Proponents said it wouldn't happen. So a month later McDonalds presented their touch screen orderer, aka robot clerk and the dollar menus became the $1.75 menu. The burger flipper makes $15.

The problem with the living wage push is that sociological theory that "somebody has to sweep the floors." Bill Gates will slip and crack his head open after getting food poisoning when nobody sanitized the potato chip making machine or mopped up the blood of the last guy who slipped and fell in his office lobby. And the retired alcoholic and stoned teenager with those jobs don't need nor want to put in the effort to make a living wage. In the 3rd world, you get paid by how much poisonous sulfur you carry down the mountain. If you want more money, carry more poison.

Because everyone is equal and needs to be babied OR ELSE, you now take your lazy butt to pay $7 for a tiny, airy, Big Mac and die in a car crash on the way home because there's no budget at the Roads dept because the intern in the call center needs to make a living wage, living in a $35/month crawlspace and living off Ramen.

I think it's because most people want it more than healthy food because it's quicker to have it made instead of cooking your own food especially if you're busy all the time.
