What to give sister for a free TV?
My sister and her hubby gave us their high-def Sony TV. It's awesome. Replaces a 30-year-old picture tube TV we had that still worked, but this hiigh-def rocks. Okay, she had received the TV for free and gave it to us for free. We really appreciate it. Should we give her something to say "thanks?" We have thanked her in person and via text.

A normal 'thank you' card should suffice.

Bottle of wine/vodka/whisky depending on their tastes. Just take it round next time you are there.

This is really an etiquette issue. Maybe you could take them out for a meal at a nicer restaurant.

You certainly don't have to 'give' anything if they didn't ask for anything. The choice however is up to you. A gift is just that.
But if you feel they need something in return, or you are feeling that this TV might loom over your head for something else from them in the future, then perhaps you could resolve it by giving them a gift.

You could invite her round for dinner; but you don't have to do anything specifically in return

some flowers or a box of her favourite chocolates or perfume.
