I bought a 4K UHD player from the UK and brought it to India. Will a DVD bought in UK,coded for Region B/2 play on it even if I'm not in UK?

Amazon says "Global region codes identify DVDs and Blu-ray discs that are compatible with the players typically sold in that region."

To me, that means it should play on it, since it's a UK bought DVD on a UK bought player. The only thing is I'm not physically in that region. Am I reading this right?

Disc players do not change their region coding just by being physically moved to a different region.

If the player is coded for Region 2, it will still be a Region 2 player no matter where in the world you move it to.
