Why was paedophilia much more common in the past? Why were children, in the past, not even considered humans up till a certain age?

Even pigs had more value than children depending what age the children were.

    a) What are you considering as paedophilia, modern day western moral standards or attitudes from 100 years ago or even earlier?

    b) Values and attitudes change over the years. Even Mary was probably around 11-12 when she married Joseph and 12-13 when she had Jesus. That was common then in most cultures.

    Well theres an old saying, hes not worth a light, meaning a child didnt get paid for working the mine so didnt get a light(an old minig term), and im not sure where you get the info about the prevelance of pedophilia in the past, the age of consent changes, desires dont
