age of consent?

if the age of consent were raised say tomorrow or next month, would all those people in now illegal sexual relationships have to divorce or become abstinate or would they be exempt

    Changes in the law that affect many people usually never apply to people already in a relationship because it would be cruel and inhumane to do that. It would be unconstitutional and invalid to make it apply retroactively.

      DEAD WRONG. A change in age of consent law NEVER has a grandfather clause. The said, legally married couples have ALWAYS been exempt from age of consent laws.

    Divorce wouldn't apply. Age of consent doesn't apply to legally married couples.

      of course it does, what if you went to another country married some little 12 year old or what ever and brought her back, youd be legaly married, got euope marry a 17 year old come back, legaly married..?
