Could science provide proof one day what happens to you after you die, like is there truly an afterlife?
A sunday school teacher named Rossiter W. Raymond once wrote, "And death is only a horizon, And a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight. Until we each embark on the final journey, what lies beyond may source of wonder, the most profound mystery of all."
I've always wondered what happens to us when we die because some people have claimed they've seen ghosts.

Yes, yes it could. Some day, maybe, possibly there could be a chance.
But it's not very likely. I happen to believe in both science and ghosts, so I know it's absolutely possibly possible. But I also know it's very unlikely.
Here's the bottom line: Scientists aren't in the business of knowing stuff (like people prefer to think), they're in the business of admitting they don't know stuff. That's why they're always doing research, in fact. If scientists already knew all the answers, they wouldn't need any research funding. Who would need to research stuff they already know everything about? Exactly, because that would be a total waste of time and money.
If you ask any accredited scientist if they know all the answers, they'll laugh at you and tell you they don't even understand all the questions yet. And since nobody has been truly dead (mostly dead doesn't count) and lived to tell about it, the scientists will just have to wait.

It has evidence of people who see their life flash before their eyes or a light at the end of the tunnel or they see heaven or hell. There is historic evidence. Therefore it falls under the science of paleontology. Edit archeology.

Yes indeed it could, right after it provides proof that leprechauns are planning a global takeover in order to secure the world's gold supply for themselves.

Science investigates the natural world. It is completely useless for the supernatural. For that we have religion and philosophy

doubt it. science does not even care about looking into such things because there is no evidence for it thus no reason to study it

there is no afterlife. You never saw anyone or anything that was dead did you? The dead remain dead.
If they discover magic is real and do the magic instead of science then they would be called Sorcerers instead of Scientists, Lol.
