Will I be protected from pregnancy?

I have been on birth control pills for the past four months and in those four months, I have taken my pills back to back—meaning I never took a single placebo week. Today is my last pill before the day of my placebo week and I want to give my body that opportunity for a rest but I am not sure if I will be protected from pregnancy. Will I be protected from pregnancy if I take this one placebo break? And can I even take this placebo week? I am scared that if I do, i will throw my body off because I’ve been taking them back to back and even get pregnant. Please help! I appreciate it so much!

Of course you'll be protected. And of course you can take this placebo week. It's actually recommended to do this a few times a year if you usually take your active pills back to back.
