Here in the UK the only Wendy's I can find is at the American airbase in Mildenhall Suffolk. Why are there not more around the country?

Market share of McDonald's and Burger King is established. Population is not so huge as the US and local pubs and takeout fish & chips (many shops are run by family) could be competitors. Restriction against first food may also be a hurdle to success in the UK / EU market.

I used to have lunch and tea/coffee at the pubs during the daytime. They serve great food at reasonable prices.
