    $8 a month.

And ALL the rest of the food I eat is food I prepare myself. I don't eat AT fast food or in restaurants. I ate a lot of Take Out when I was younger, and that has exhausted my pancreas and now I have diabetes.

Since I do NOT want to go blind, nor have my feet get gangrene and have to be amputated, I now do NOT eat fast food. Nor restaurant food.

I have to monitor everything I eat, as well as prick my finger for a drop of blood to montor my blood sugars.

And no more alcohol, candy, soda pop, baked goods, fried foods, chips, etc etc.

Only lean meats, low-fat dairy, vegetables, fruit, and whole-grain/complex carbohydrate products.

For the rest of my life.

And since diabetes is incurable and progresses, I am not avoiding the complications by eating properly. I am only delaying when I get them.

Eating well should be a life-long practice. Don't eat takeout or fast food.
