Can a tattoo artist touch up tattoos to make them more realistic?

So I have a for arm tattoo that has a rose on it and when I first got it finished it looked realistic and I loved it. But after it fully healed it started to fade ( which is normal ) but some of the shading went away and it just looks like an amateur drawing of a rose. I was wondering if a tattoo artist would be able to do anything to make it seem more realistic and touch it up? Thank y’all

It should not fade so fast and yes you can have it touched up,

If you don't trust the tattooist you had then find another my friend.

Most artists will do touch ups, adding color and additions to existing tattoos. Think about what you want to do with existing tattoo and get a consultation. Your tattoo looks to be high quality and improvements should really make it stand out.

Of course it can be improved - with the right tattoo artist.

I would ask to get another layer of ink on the tattoo if that would be available.
