Was this an insult?

I'm currently finishing my second Masters (in a different field). Recently I was chatting with a prof (not direct supervision) about how I've been waitlisted for PhD. One of the comments he made was, "they want people who can actually do research." Was this an insult? I've conducted interviews for my first Masters just as he did for his PhD.

Because yours was nothing but platitudes, shithead.

  • He's simply just jealous.

Take it with a grain of salty salt.
