What if Tom Brady never played for the Patriots?

    Pats would have fewer Superbowls. They probably resign Bledsoe for one last go before drafting another QB.

    I'm not sure if he was 100% serious, but I recall Brady saying that if it weren't for Drew Bledsoe's injury, he'd probably be out of football and working for some Wall Street firm by 2003...

    As for the Patriots themselves, the fact that Brady backups like Matt Cassel and Jimmy Garappolo were "in demand" guys to be starters for other teams...and even lesser guys like Jacoby Brissett and Ryan Mallett could be traded for some return value... tells you that Belichick likely would have developed a champion caliber QB if Brady hadn't come along..
