In 2010 Jeremy Corbyn tried to rescue threatened Jews in Yemen but the Tories declined, is that cos they are an antisemitic party?

In 2010, Jews still living in Yemen were under severe threat and were suffering serious persecution. Orthodox Jews living in then-back bencher Diane Abbott’s London constituency approached her and fellow back bencher Jeremy Corbyn for help.

In response, Abbott and Corbyn co-sponsored a parliamentary motion that February demanding that the government – then still Gordon Brown’s Labour government – take urgent steps to help the threatened Yemeni community:

Of the thirty-one MPs who signed the motion, only one was a Tory.

Unforgivably, the Tories then ignored the motion after winning the 2010 general election and no action was taken.

Update:

Parliament hosts speakers from Israel all the time whose unofficial slogan is death to Arabs, the difference being that they actually do murder lots of Arabs.

I'm pleased he went on Press TV, more people should, its a good way of communicating with ordinary Iranians about the benefits of a democratic society free from the kind of racial or religious bigotry that exists in Iran and Israel.

Update 2:

"he was helping to perpetuate his conspiracy theories and hatred of Israel"

What a coincidence, you use this place to perpetuate your conspiracy theories and hatred of Muslims 😂

Let’s face it there’s an Anti-Semitism arms race between Labour and Torres. It’s happening in the USA between Republicans and Democrats along with Liberals and Conservatives. Anti-Semitism must be destroyed once and for all.

The Tories hate anyone who isn't rich, especially if they're not white. There was no money in rescuing the Jews from Yemen so they didn't

Breaking news is that Labour Peers are to hold a meeting on Monday to see if they should hold a no confidence motion on Corbyn. This is unheard of and follows a Labour Peers comment that Corbyn was like the last days of Hitler.

The askers one isolated example is interesting but cant explain why Labour is so hating of Jewish people.

No, just an anti-immigrant party at heart. They could have done something to help save the Yazidi Christians in Iraq from ISIS too, and that was when the Tory government was being moderated by the Lib Dems too.

It's further proof that anti-Semite Corbyn wants to 'ethnically cleanse' the Middle East of Jews.

Saved from the people being invited to parliament in 2019 by a labour mp?

The Islamic rebel group’s slogan reads: “God is great, death to the US, death to Israel, curse the Jews, and victory for Islam.”

Mr Alshami is an international spokesman for the group, as well as an executive director of the controversial Arabian Rights Watch Association.

Jennifer Gerber, director of Labour Friends of Israel, said: “It is utterly appalling that a Labour MP would host in Parliament the mouthpiece of a violent, Iranian-backed terror group which preaches hatred against Jews and the state of Israel.

So what did corbyn do about this?

Not grandstanding or posturing as a back bencher, while working for Iran as a press tv propagandist?

Save jews, Iran style, get them out of the Middle East?

    Ooops!

Source(s): On press tv he played to the Iranian gallery about his Israeli conspiracy theories, hardly trying to reach out to moderates, bless you for being so devoted to the cause of the ayatollahs and Corbyn, it’s paid agent.....https://jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/corbyn-suspec... Biff -blaming Israel based on his prejudices, no evidence, just hate Biff, he was helping to perpetuate his conspiracy theories and hatred of Israel, the others?

There is nothing anti-Semitic in Corbyn's comments on the bombing in Egypt. He said nothing against, nor intended to say anything against, the Jewish citizens of Israel, only against its Zionist government.

He 'tried' and failed and then did nothing as leader of the opposition. Sounds about right.

Which just goes to go how incredibly inept Corbyn is with regard to social intelligence. It is sad, but his brusque and uncommunicatiive attitudes allow others to portray him in a very bad light. In many ways he and May are so similar...socially awkward and incredibly bad at communication and image management. Problem is we live in an age that appreciates style over substance....and that is it really.
