If you are over 16, can you ask the dentist to not tell your parent the results of your check up?

I have a feeling I have multiple cavities and I was wondering- due to the fact that NHS dentist states that the age of consent to treatment is 16, if I could ask them to not share the information of my check up to my mum. I’d like it to stay between me and them... is this possible ?
