Hell yes, Christianity makes people feel guilty to have power over them and collect 10& of their money. Jews have been good at causing Guilt Trips for centuries.

Wow. Sorry that was your experience. That doesn't mean it's everyone's.

A person can know many truths and can develop a more pure conscience by reciting the rosary each day with care.

Not really. Guilt from the awareness of what sin is and what it does is natural. It makes us aware of our need to repent for our wrong doings and to ask forgiveness.

Guilt is important to society. Only sociopaths -- no conscience, no shame -- don't feel guilt after wrongdoing.

The bigoted and the blind to reality fail to see how Christianity absolves us of guilt.

I don't think Christians understand the concept of guilt. They certainly don't feel any for the way they act on here.

What is important is the freedom from guilt when you truly repent.

"Is guilt a good thing?" In so much as physical pain is a good thing, as it warns you from doing something which might damage the body. If you want to eliminate all guilt from your life, that means you just want to get away with being an immoral person. It seems like certain atheists want to do that.

Must be - because there are more people here who hate themselves with a passion -

the self-loathing christians here like NCWJ, WolfTurds, FurBall, 2-hunter,

Cut & Paste Chris, God's Mess, etc - than I've seen in a long time!!
