White nationalism, the Confederacy, the Nazis, ISIS... why is conservatism always on the wrong side of history?

Good question since Democrats were the architects of both the Confederacy and the KKK and leftist socialists created Nazi Germany. As for ISIS, they're Muslim whack-jobs. Funny how when they get into Congress they try to come across as liberal progressives, isn't it? Before you decide which side of history a group is on, best to learn history. Something you've obviously neglected to do.

White right wingers to be specific were the architects of those organizations. In the past many White Southern conservatives voted Democrat, but they abandoned the party in droves when LBJ signed the civil rights act and Repubs welcomed them with open arms. Thus the modern GOP was forged by racism.

You've just retroactively redefined conservatism to be responsible for all the movements you abhor, essentially the fallacy of definition.

You cannot be more wrong, even if you try. Conservatism = good. Liberalism = bad.

The word "conservatism" has been swiped in recent years---around the Alzheimer's-afflicted (out of his gourd) Reagan years when the fanatical Old Testament whack job "evangelicals" seized control of the GOP with Koch brothers' Heritage Foundation/CULT The Family's help to set up their long-craved "theocratic coup" from inside the political system.

Michelle Goldberg (2006), "Kingdom Coming: The Rise of 'Christian' Nationalism"; undercover investigator Jeff Sharlet (2008), "The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power"; Jane Mayer (2017), "DARK MONEY: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right."

The anti-democracy domestic terrorist villains who embrace the evils your question name (The Family, for example, mistakenly believes cruelty is "power" and acts accordingly for GOP policies) are not actually merely "conservative" (fearful of or resistant to change; anal retentive about bodily emissions and functions, adverse to taking risks, prudish in social settings)---they are stone-cold FANATICAL from the proverbial DARK SIDE. The would-be moderates in hiding Republicans got swept up in the currents and now do not know how to keep their political jobs unless they give into the DARK SIDE and kiss up to Putin's puppet Trump.

That religuous conservatives. And religion will always be used to control people. That is why it was created.

They weren't always on the wrong side of history. Eisenhower was pretty decent. But they're certainly on the extremist wrong side of history now. Trump has flushed the entire Republican Party down the proverbial toilet.

You mean like the 1700-1800 south or the 1800-1905 California?

Probably because you don't know what Conservatism really is.

So when LBJ said "I'll have those n****ers voting Democrat for 200 years" when he passed his Great Society, he was on the right side?

Btw, it no way was it politically advantageous to lose dominant White Southern voters in exchange for the African American vote which represented a smaller share of the population and was extremely marginalized (even today). However passing the Civil Rights Act was the morally correct thing to do.

Why are you showing the four corners of the democrat base? Are the two, old white millionaires leading the primaries pandering to them again?
