In the UK you don't require IRB for surveys, in the US you do, so what would you do if asked for it?

No you don't require it. Why some people don't read the guidelines and tell me wrong all the time???!!!

    I'm in the U.K. and never heard of a IRB

      When you do experiments on humans or animals you need ethical approval in the UK which corresponds to the IRB in the US, except that doesn't apply to surveys, but I'm being asked for it, which is what confused me too. So instead I am going to write a letter explaining why it's not required, which..
