It's the one book that backs up itself. Here's how incredible claims are easily verified as truthful or not.
In the 1970's Yuri Geller claimed that he could bend spoons with his mind, and he would show how he could take a normal spoon, lightly rub its neck and it would bend then break within minutes. So, was that the truth? Could he really bend spoons with his mind as he claimed? No, he couldn't and one man proved it. How? He used the time-tested method of exposing hoaxes. He duplicated the hoax. He showed everyone how it was done. Had no one been able to duplicate what Geller did, the only explanation would be that somehow, he really did bend spoons with his mind.
Now with the Bible, we have a similar claim. Not only does it claim to be God's word, but even contains accounts of numerous miracles, many by Jesus Christ, that supposedly happened that supposedly confirmed it as God's word (Mk 16:20; Heb 2:3-4). It even has the following line in it.
“Therefore Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name” (Jn 20:30-31).
The counter claim by atheists is that Jesus never existed and thus never performed any miracles, but was somehow able to start religion by the 1000s willing to give up their very lives rather than renounce their fictional leader. So how to show that the Bible is untrue and thus a hoax? As mentioned above, you duplicate the hoax. You athee-evos show us all how it was done.
Please note that no one is saying you can't start a religion, but only you cannot do it the way the Bible did it with all the miracles in it. Mohammed was able to start a religion, but he was crystal clear in his Koran that he had no miracles to offer to show that God was with him (cf. Ex 4:1-9; Jn 3:2). The only way to start such a religion is that if the miracles really did happen, which would prove the Bible true.
So, you athee-evos who claim the Bible a hoax, okay fine, just duplicate the hoax. Show us all how it was done. Remember, your holy book has to have a bunch of miracles in it. Maybe to save some time you could use a "Harry Potter" book to show us how they did it 2000 years ago. We're waiting. Don't be all talk, and no walk.
Just copy and paste the following to the back of a few Harry Potter books and spread them around.
Therefore, Harry did many other miraculous feats in the presence of his friends and neighbors, which are not written in this book, but these are written, that you may believe that Harry is a real wizard, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
As you always say, there's good money to make from religion, so why not do it just for the money?
