Why is Bored by Billie Eilish on the 13 Reasons Why soundtrack but not actually on the show?

    It's about money. The show rents the songs on a scale bases. The show may believe the song is too expensive to be aired, but they get their money back when they sell the song on a CD. Also shows may remove songs, including their theme song on box sets of the show because, again, the show had to pay the money to the rights holder of the songs if they leave the songs in. For instance, the box set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer has no theme song and no in show songs in its box set.
