Will Saudi invention - solar panels that simultaneously produces electricity & purifies water,including de-salination be World game-changer.?


For any countries close to Sea water - and able to afford solar panels, the potential seems very high.

    Yes and no. For Mecca, with the greatest insolation in the world, it would be helpful (great, the place that doesn't need it much). For Seattle, close to seawater but perpetually foggy and rainy, not so much.

    this tech has existed in various forms for a couple decades now. the energy conversion rates do not generally justify the investment costs relative to oil or nuclear.
