How come black people think they're the best dancers in the world when the most famous dancers are white male ballet dancers like Nijinsky?
Mikhail Baryshnikov, Rudolf Nureyev, George Balanchine, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire! All the most famous dancers are white males. Can you name ONE famous black dancer??? There aren't any!

Misty Copeland. Alvin Ailey. Judith Jamison.
You've never heard of those people? You don't know much about ballet and other forms of dance, dear.

Being famous and being best can be two different things. Gene Kelly thought the Nichols brothers were totally amazing. (So did I for that matter.) He fought with the studio executives so he could dance with them in one of his films. Racism has far more to do with who is or isn’t famous than ability. The color of one’s skin has zero to do with how good a dancer someone is. There are great dancers as well as terrible dancers of every race, religion and creed.

When the Ballet Russes de Monte Carlo was touring the USA, their black dancer Raven Wilkinson was threatened. At one point, men in KKK uniforms entered a theater shouting "Where's the N1gg3r?'" In 2015 when Misty Copeland debuted at Lincoln Center, Raven Wilkinson was in attendance.
Racism played a very important role in keeping black dancers out of ballet, but this is changing. One pretense against black dancers was they did not possess the body type for ballet- one look at Misty Copeland destroys this stupid racist misconception.
I might add that the story behind the Nutcracker ballet was an adaptation of Hoffman written by Alexandre Dumas, an incredible writer. He was black.
