Was Chopin rich?
Does anyone of you know if Chopin was rich? Did he make a lot of money for his pieces and concerts?

Chopin never had the mega-celebrity status of Liszt, but he lived a life of at least modest wealth. Both he and his father taught very wealthy patrons, and as a child Chopin sometimes played with the son of the ruler of Russian Poland - something only someone of high status would be able to do.
Chopin knew how to play the aristocracy and didn't have any trouble getting support from them. He also was supported by his partners - in particular George Sand. Chopin, although a brilliant and highly respected pianist, hated giving performances, often giving only one salon performance a year. This was down as much to his extremely large ego as his ill health.

No. He didn't sing the Jazz or blues so he made no money.
