Sales Tax?

I’m traveling to Massachusetts and I’m wondering if they could exempt me for sales tax on certain items I am going to be purchasing. Coming from Oregon (no sales tax).

    Nope

That does work in some adjoining states but not all the way across country

They don't exempt you because you come from a no sales tax state.

Unless you purchase items for a purpose that is exempt under the laws of the state where you purchase the items, you pay that states sales tax. Being from a different state IS NOT such a purpose. Buying for resale or for use by a charity CAN be such a purpose.

If you take possession within the state, no.

if you don't want to pay sales tax, then do your shopping in Oregon.
