Why was actor Danny Glover demanding reparations from congress today? Isn't he wealthy enough?

And why do democrats always have celebrities as their "witnesses" instead of working class Americans?

Well, it wasn't for himself, he was adding his voice to a call for African americans in general to be properly compensated for the suffering and discrimination they've endured for generations. But its not just about money, and it doesn't make a difference whether one individual has been successful and doesn't need financial support, its about having the mistreatment of an entire race of people formally acknowledged by the government, and attempts made to offer some sort of token of apology.

He's a celebrity. That's like 1,000 voices of us. Well, not me because don't believe in reparations.
