What is the amount of heat involved in calories given off when 25 g of water cools from 86oC to 61oC?

    Heat energy = Mass * Specific heat * ∆ T

    The specific heat is 1 cal/(g * T)

    Q = 25 * 1 * (86 – 61) = 625 calories
