Why is Julian Assange so deeply incarcerated just for jumping bail?
How has he offended Britain apart from not being able to show
up in court due to being harassed by police whilst seeking asylum??

It's because he exposed the war crimes of the likes of Blair and Bush Jr. They're the ones who should be getting the supermax treatment.

The bail jumping charge is just a legal excuse to hold him while the US build a case of extradition. That's why he's being held in Belmarsh

You can either believe the nutjob conspiracy theories or read the facts for yourself.
He didn't "just" jump bail, he caused an international incident by entering that embassy which required a large amount of money to be spent detailing officers outside the embassy because he refused to go peacefully with them.
If Julian had been caught shoplifting and locked himself in an embassy to avoid a small penalty, you don't think that the penalty for wasting manpower and causing an international incident would be added on?
