I think you failed to ask the questions you should have asked BEFORE you signed the lease and moved in, and so you have to accept the consequences. Obviously, those two get along and have similar ideals about rooming together. Your ideals are very different. You should have had an "Agreement" about guests, smoking, sleeping & waking hours, kitchen clean-up, bathroom clean-up, general cleaning, parties, wearing shoes inside, sharing expenses - all of the things that SHOULD have been discussed beforehand. Since you didn't, it's two against one. Either learn to get along or be miserable, because they can make you very miserable if you don't come around to their rules. When you share, the majority of the time should be just the three of you. You are all entitled to your privacy. Having guests over puts their belongings at risk. How can you possibly watch 4 or 5 people at the same time? They are justified to be concerned and to request a more reasonable arrangement.
