What changes would you expect to see in the oceans and atmosphere if the Earth was orbiting the sun with no tilt in its axis of rotation?

The seasons would cease, the world would go into the worst ice age it has ever experienced as the northern and southern latitudes would get way less heat. Countries like Canada, northern USA, Russia, the Scandinavian countries, England would go into permanent freeze and all agriculture in those countries would cease. Sea levels would drop at least 200 metres (650 ft) and port cities would be high and dry severely limiting world trade. Many countries separated by water now would have land bridges where people could walk across things like the English Channel. The Mediterranean Sea would disappear and ancient man made ruins would reappear from early settlements before the end of the last ice age before the Mediterranean formed. Likely some countries near the equator would heat up as the sun would always be directly overhead. It would hugely affect our planet.

No seasons, all parts of Earth would get equal amounts of heating according to their latitudes. Only slight variations in heating due to how close the Earth is to the Sun in its orbit, i.e. aphelion vs. perihelion. There would be no massive ice build-ups, except at altitude on mountaintops. There would still be winds around the planet, though heat flow would be always from the equator to the poles, rather than from the tropics to the poles. Oh, there wouldn't be any discernible tropical or polar circles either, so no Tropic of Cancer/Capricorn or Arctic/Antarctic Circles. Ocean currents would be more or less the same, as they follow the continental coastlines mostly, though there might be less variation in flow rates seasonally.

With no axial tilt, there would be no seasons. The only variation in temperature would be the result of the Earth's orbit. The world would be warmer in January than in July over the entire planet.

There would be no summer or winter, climate would be purely the result of latitude (the distance from the equator).

There would be no seasons like we have now.

Many plants would have evolved differently. Spring fever would not exist. And on a humorous front...Serenity now.

It would be dangerous in that once a cycle was generated, there would not be enough of anything to squelch it.
