Can meditation be as effective as sleeping pills for insomnia?

    It’s possible, but I highly recommend being physically active throughout the day. There should be a balance between physical and mental use if you’re having problems sleeping.

    Sleeping pills and other medications are like bandages. They help right then, but it’s not going to cure your sleeping problems. Lifestyle changes such as mediation and exercising are both effective and natural ways of curing many things, insomnia included.

    Meditate on the Word of YHVH GOD, take a few deep breathes and go to sleep.

    Yes and no troublesome side effects either - like hangover

    Most of todays pharmaceuticals are poison to the body. The so called "side effects" are the main effects. These drugs send ripples throughout the whole body affecting most every major system. They are removed from the body by either/both kidneys and liver and can cause catastrophic failure in these vital organs.

    I'm a pharmacist and one frightening think I've learned is that we don't know even know how many drugs work. That's a scary propostion. Imagine what they may be doing in the long run that we don't yet know about.

    Yes, but u should be regular to meditation and takes some time.

      when I was a kid and could not sleep I read till eyes got sleepy
