The future exists only within the mind. Each mind that imagines it or predicts it, does so individually. One may take action in an effort to produce the future that is imagined and desired, or not, and those efforts may be successful, or not. One may predict the near future or the far. One may focus on some relatively narrow aspect of the future or take a broader view. That aspect of the future, upon which one focuses, may be within one's power to influence or beyond one's power to affect. One's predictions may turn out to be correct or incorrect. The only place in which the future is predetermined is within the mind.
