What does this small musical note crossed means for playing on guitar? I show it on a picture below.?

Please explain to me how to play this part on guitar.

    It's a type of "grace note", a kind of ornament usually dispensable.  The D is a plucked note and the C is a pull-off.  In this case, the C sounds on the first beat, with the D plucked as a 32nd note just before it.  If written in full, it would be the last 32nd of the previous measure.
