Only when they are dirty. Since I don't dirty them much, almost never.

molding could be every two years due to wear and tear

walls could be anywhere from every five to ten years, it is an expense

ceilings as needed, especially after a leak which requires re-drywalling

I hate painting and put it off for way too long. But when I do paint the house looks great. The moral of this story is, paint them more often than you thin necessary.

I built this house myself and painted the interior in 2013. Still looks good so no repaint.

usually a couple of years after they need it.

example: the boys [five and seven] did a number on the walls in my back bedroom before they moved to another house in 2014. I repainted that room in 2018.
