Leopard gecko heat?

Recently the heat pad under my tank made the glass crack and burned the wood stand it was on. I had to take off the heat pad as it was warped from melting itself. So I was wondering if there are any other ways to help them get proper heating? Anything else I could do to heat the tank properly?

You might need a different heat pad.

Try incandescent bulb. An incandescent bulb of 40 to 60 watts in a reflector fixture is one of the simplest ways to add both heat and light to a leopard gecko's habitat
