Why do artists with only one hit song go on tours, like how do they entertain a concert for a few hours with only one hit record?

they play their other songs too that aren't as popular. If the crowd is full of real fans, they'll know it

Sometimes a lot of them play new music while on a tour as well as some of thier current songs.

They want money, but they want a good time too. Plus there’s hipsters who follow an artist from Day 1 so they know the songs

Artists can have more than one good song. Artists that gig a concert know they have enough material to make a concert that can get another one.

To make money. They’re not on tour doing shows by themselves most of the time. They headline someone else’s show and perform their hit & maybe one or two more songs to promote.

They still have other songs that their fans still like whether they were hits or not. Some one hit wonders have a few albums and dedicated fans.
