I got the Nexplanon implant the first week of December and I'm still having periods.?

I'm concerned the birth control isn't working since?

My periods have changed a whole lot (little longer lasting, not as bad of cramps, and consistency is different) but other than that the same. Has anyone else had this happen?

That's quite common. The nexplanon implant often stops periods, but doesn't do it for everyone... and for most people the stop is gradual over the course of many months. There's no reason to think it isn't working just fine.

Entirely normal - on Nexplanon I get light spotting maybe 3x a year, my friend gets heavy periods for 3 months straight, a month off, repeat. Hormonal birth control affects everyone differently, and the majority of people on Nexplanon still get some form of period, be it light or heavy.
