Can a 17 year old and a 14 year old legally have sex in Oregon, if they are less than 3 years apart?

From the Googles in reply to "age of consent in Oregon"

    14 years

Unlike many other states, Oregon has made exceptions in its age of consent laws for adolescents who are under the age of consent, but are close to the same age. In general, anyone 14 years or older can consent to have sex with someone who is no more than 3 years older than them.

So - yes - it seems so.

As they're both minors this is permissible (under the law if not under their parents' rules).

No, the 14 year old is underage and cannot consent to sex, so anyone having sex with them is committing rape, get a boyfriend or girlfriend over the age of consent!! leave children alone.

Easy to Google this stuff. The age of consent in Oregon is 18. "Because there is no such "Romeo and Juliet law" in Oregon, it is possible for two individuals both under the age of 18 who willingly engage in intercourse to both be prosecuted for statutory rape, although this is rare. " https://www.ageofconsent.net/states/oregon

I will add that if the 14 year old is a girl, it's incredibly stupid to have sex at 14 and risk creating a child that will have to be cared for, and supported financially, for the next 18 years.
