I'd say the man. Cause if you think about it in the agricultural sense that you bring up, the man would be "planting the seed" while the woman fertilizes it.

Of you mean humanwise, religiuosly, the man becasue Abraham of the bible had the seed of the world given to him which he passed on through his sons.
If you mean plantwise still the male because they have seeds while females do not.

A man and a woman are not plants, so neither of them carries a seed.
The woman ovulates an egg and the male ejaculation provides sperm. When the two meet, an embryo is formed.
Humans do not produce seeds. That's right. Not even the bridge dwelling species.
