DQ is short for DISQUALIFIED.
IN SHORT, nearly all felonies are a DQ. ...unless you have some wonderous BS story story about getting a waiver due to some extraordinary circumstance.
I don't like to say NEVER here, because some troll will Always come up with a story of how a friend of a friend of a guy he knew, who dated his sister, once got in with a long felony rap sheet.
It is also TRUE, that while I served.....I knew guys who came from small backwater towns........who were given a choice by the judge.......6 months in JAIL, or a two year Navy hitch.
I went to boot camp with TWO such guys, who took the Navy stint. One, went with me to my A School and was promptly caught in his dorm, doing drugs and was immediately booted out.
I assume to return home and serve his jail sentence. I have no idea what happened to him after he was arrested.
