How long should pulled thigh muscles hurt?

I recently decided that I wanted to get healthy and start working out. I made the mistake of taking a spin class on my second day and really hurt myself in the process. I was in a lot of pain but I knew it was normal to feel that way for a little while. It's been a week and half and I still can not squat... show more I recently decided that I wanted to get healthy and start working out. I made the mistake of taking a spin class on my second day and really hurt myself in the process. I was in a lot of pain but I knew it was normal to feel that way for a little while. It's been a week and half and I still can not squat without feeling really tight in my outer thigh muscles. How long should I wait to see a doctor or is this just normal from pushing to hard?
